Some suggestions
- GO
ABROAD - when else in your life will you be able to spend >4
weeks in another country and get funding for it?
- If
applying to a mission organisation, plan to apply at least 18 months
(preferably 2 years) in advance
- Try
your local
education authority and other local charitable bodies for funding
- Consider
doing a small research project or audit to impress your potential
sponsor(s)
- Consider
contacting drug companies to
see if they would fund you in exchange for doing some research for them
- Include
a copy of your CV
- Be
brief and specific about the
nature and aims of your elective and why you think your potential
sponsor(s) should invest in you
